Sept. 20th Meeting
Robert F Kennedy Jr.
Robert F Kennedy Jr. is an environmental lawyer coming to La Crosse to speak. This is an even that CAB has asked the Progressives to co-sponsor. They want our help with publicity and help with set-up. We are trying to get a set of chairs in the front to be reserved for us for helping out. This even will be at the Eagle REC center on November 2 at 7pm. This is a great place to recycle those old November 2nd t-shirt in the back of your closets!
Camp Wellstone
Camp Wellstone is a politcal action committee that is holding a workshop in La Crosse the weekend of October 14-15. This organization trains people all over the country on how to take action on many social issues. The La Crosse workshop will primarily focus on environmental activism. We are thinking that there will be room for approximately 75 students to take advantage of this amazing opportunity for a registration fee of only $10. This is an opportunity that we are fortunate to have here in La Crosse, so definitely take advantage of this! Sign Up sheets will be coming around soon....
